Het Amsterdamse dorpscafé 't Sluisje biedt al sinds 1904 dorstige passanten een welkome pleisterplaats. Meer dan een eeuw was het pand uit 1565 in handen van de familie De Ruijter. Toen de laatste nazaten van de familie het café eind 2016 te koop zetten, dreigde 't Sluisje voor de buurt verloren te gaan.
