Two Crabs is an 1889 oil painting by Vincent van Gogh. It is a still life of two crabs, one on its back and one upright, with a green background. [1] The work is oil on canvas of 47 cm (19 in) high and 61 cm (24 in) wide. [1] Van Gogh is thought to have painted this work after his hospital release in January 1889.

Two Crabs - Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter whose work had a far-reaching influence on 20th century art for its vivid colors and emotional impact. He suffered from anxiety and increasingly frequent bouts of mental illness throughout his life, and died largely unknown, at the age of 37, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
